1985年，一場慘劇打擊了如今的鄉(xiāng)村明星姐妹，Shelby Lynne Moorer 和 Allison Moorer。在一場爭執(zhí)中，她們的父親舉槍射擊妻子，然后把槍口對準了自己。姐姐Lynne當時17歲，慘劇后留給她的責任是將其13歲的妹妹撫養(yǎng)長大。以往，這對姐妹都沉浸于音樂制作，而對成長中遇到的各種困難閉口不談。

2010年春天，獲得過奧斯卡和格萊美提名的歌曲作家Allison Moorer帶著她全新的原創(chuàng)專輯《Crows》回歸了。新專輯在體裁上與以往專輯均不同，就猶如一本文雅的收藏集。大部分新作的創(chuàng)作及伴奏都通過鋼琴來完成，內(nèi)容是十分個人化，整體風格成熟內(nèi)斂，旋律流暢而布滿爆發(fā)力十足的細節(jié)。專輯由著名的納什維爾制作人 R.S. Field (Buddy Guy, John Mayall)制作。

這并不是一張“情歌飛滿天”的專輯，而更傾向于講述生活中一則則小事。正如同專輯名《Crows》所暗含的那般，烏鴉常常是不幸、悲劇的象征，整張專輯聽來有些悲傷、沉重。最新單曲“The Broken Girl”(破碎的女孩)，個人推薦“Should I Be Concerned”、“Still This Side Of Gone”等。
